Today , I headed from school back home feeling heavy and kinda crappy . There was a conflict in my class between me and the Malays .I'm not a racist and I never will be .
But this incident really let me see a part of ourselves which is deeper .Listen guys , you have your part of the story and I have mine too , so don't create a stir and see what I have to say .Okay , the situation was like this .Tomorrow , (08/08/08) which is a Friday , our school is holding a carnival for the NDP celebrations . Every class had to have a small store .For us , initially we planned on doing games .But later on , I couldn't think of any ideas and I think that the prizes weren't attractive enough .So we later on decided to sell back brownies which we did earlier this year for CNY carnival .I also suggested we sell something called sweet and spicy chicken drumlets which were similar to what pizza hut is selling .Heres something to make a start if you are totally clueless about what it is .





But soon , One of the group's member came and gave me "the big news" . "Hey I think we can't do the drumlets because we don't have enough funds .I think we should do banana fritters.AND the news came 2 days before the carnival ."(Example)




And , I couldn't change the whole drumlet concept . Lemme tell you why .We could afford it if we tried to raise the money and the only person who really knows the location of the shop which sells that drumlet recipe is my grandmother . She knows that I needed it and she isn't free to go today . So she went earlier by 1 day to stock up .She went on Wednesday which is yesterday .It is also the day my class told me about their plan to change the food to banana fritters . Because my grandmother knew we needed it ,so she got up early in the morning at around 6 to go and buy .So there was no choice . My class gave me too short a notice.2 days before the actual day then they inform me . And now , what do I get?I get told off because I already bought the drumlets . I get blamed and accused for acting on my own decision? What if I didn't go and buy earlier and they ran out of stock or something? Wouldn't the situation be worst? And then because I wasn't racist , I got you Malay guys to come and help me instead of the Chinese because I trusted you guys and know that you guys would work together with me . But now is that my fault that I already bought the stuff? I am not trying to force my opinion on you guys . I am not deciding things on my own like Mr Phua says . Even Mr Phua doesn't understand . Maybe you guys think I did things purposely but how long have you guys worked with me?Didn't I handle the last carnival as well? I really feel disappointed and stuff to see you guys gang up to blame me . I told Mr Phua "I don't mind paying out of my own pocket to buy all the 12 packets that I've bought earlier . I don't mind paying that $108 as long as we are united as a class . But I guess you guys just misunderstand me you all even ganged up to not pay for the class fundings for carnival .This is my share of the story .

PS. Maybe you guys don't trust me because I'm Chinese . I'm not a racist but let me ask you , Have you all taken into consideration that I am not of the same race as you guys thats why you did stuff that way? "I saw you guys checking the envelope when I returned the money to you guys.I saw you all trying to check if the amount was correct and not taken away . I've seen it all . Why would I cheat you? I'm utterly disappointed ."
