My quality time with God
whew , I've just finish spending some time with God and well , I don't know how I can use words to fully express how I feel now but It was awesome . Yesterday during sermon , I was really convicted about how God gives us so much blessings but yet sometimes we can neglect God like as if God is something we only worship when we are free . The first thing I decided to do today when I woke up was to spend quality time with God first . Hmm , If i were to put my experience to words , God's presence literally filled my entire room . As I was reading some chapters in 2 Chronicles , I couldn't help but weep in His awesome presence . It was as if He(God and not Jaejoong) was just beside me . When I looked back at my actions recently , I was really ashamed of facing God . I felt so .. unworthy and just so small . As I am writing this post , I can still feel God's presence so strong ( I hate to admit it but yes I am crying) . But God's words is still echoing in my mind .
2 Chron 29 - 31
The king of Judah , Ahaz was doing evil in the eyes of God . He built altars and offered sacrifice to other gods . God brought His wrath upon Him and the edomites came and destroyed him . Then his son , Hezekiah succeeded him . Hezekiah was a man of God . He did what was right in the eyes of God . He destroyed the altars of other Gods and restored the temple of God . He then wrote letters to all of Israel and Judah to invite them to come for the pass over feast in the temple of the Lord . Although some men did not humble themselves and even scorned the couriers of Hezekiel , Some men were faithful and humbled themselves and came to the feast . A huge crowd was present and many was not yet ceremonially clean . But they ate at the feast against the regulations stated in the Law of Moses . But Hezekiel prayed , "May the Lord , who is good , pardon everyone who sets his heart on seeking God - the Lord , the God of his fathers - even if he is not clean according to the rules of the sanctuary . " And God heard him and healed the people .
And then 2 chronicles 33 about the king of Judah , Manasseh son of Hezekiah .
He did so much evil that nobody has ever been so guilty . He set up altars of other gods and offered incense . He sacrificed his son in fire , practiced sorcery , divination and witchcraft . He also consulted mediums and spiritists . But when he was captured by his pursuers , he humbled himself to God and God heard his plea and was moved . And he was brought back to Jerusalem . See , even someone as unclean and sinful as him would be forgiven by God .
When I read this few chapters , I couldn't help but weep in joy that I have a God that is so good , compassionate and forgiving . Now I am sure , come what may , I can face it with God because He is my solution . God is my pillar of support and He stands by me even when I fail Him . Even when I am too ashamed to face God , He tells me " I have forgiven your sins when I sent my Son to die for you ."
